There are a range of great parking options nearby. If you only need to park for one night, you can drive straight into our lot at 1 Palma Avenue by following these directions (make sure you register your vehicle on the screens at reception when you arrive):

There are two ways to drive into our guest car park.

• Leave the M56 at junction 5 and take the first exit (signposted terminal 2).
• At the roundabout at the top of the hill, take the second exit and remain in the left lane.
• At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Palma Avenue and follow the road markings for Car Parks & Pick ups
• Remain in the right-hand lane and follow the road down to the next roundabout, where you'll take the second exit back on yourself
• Follow this road down until you see the parking for Ibis Budget on the left-hand side However, in the near future, there will be a new, more fuel-efficient route to take after construction is complete, for more information on this construction, click here. Leave the M56 at junction 5 and take the first exit (signposted terminal 2).
• At the roundabout at the top of the hill, take the second exit.
• Turn immediately left onto Thorley Lane.
• Continue down this road past the bridge that overlooks the M56 and take the first left onto the roundabout.
• At the roundabout take the first exit
• When you reach the second roundabout, take the first exit
• Drive straight until you see the Ibis Budget sign on your left Spaces at our lot are subject to availability. If you need to park for the duration of your trip, you can park in one of the official Manchester Airport car parks, take a look at our park, stay, fly options for more information.

We are conveniently located near the Terminals at Manchester Airport. Terminal 2 is just a 2 minute walk away from ibis budget hotel. Cross the road and you’re there! Terminal 3 is easily accessible via the Skylink walkway, taking only 10 to 15 minutes.

There are plenty of things to do to keep you well fed and entertained, just minutes from our building.

Terminal 1 at MAN has been permanently closed since late 2025, but budget airlines still operate out of Terminals 2 and 3, including: 

• Ryanair (Terminal 3 only)
• EasyJet
• Jet2
• TUI Airways

For families, the Standard Triple Room (featuring one double bed and one single bed) is the best choice for up to three. For a family of four, you will generally need to book two rooms.

Got some time before you need to actually get through security and into the airport? Don’t just spend it in your room or in one coffee shop; there is so much to do nearby!

Terminal 3, as well as the Manchester Airport train station, can be reached in about 10 minutes via the airport's connected Skylink.
